Located on the banks of the South Fork American River, across from the Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park, Coloma Outdoor Discovery School (CODS) is an outdoor education school providing educational programs to encourage environmental awareness, a love of nature, kids’ sense of adventure, and appreciation for history.

Our naturalist educators offer fun activities within a curriculum that fulfills California’s educational requirements. We offer a safe, fun environment for kids to learn while their teachers offer background support.
